Welcome to “Beach Body Mom.”


In the year 2001 I ended up in the psychiatric ward of the hospital because in just 14 short months I’d gained 200 lbs, and no longer recognized my reflection in the mirror. I was in the sixth year of a very physically abusive marriage, that had just broken my spirit. I had given up. I didn’t care about anything anymore, and was on a toxic cycle of overeating, drinking too much and sleeping.


So when I got out of the hospital, I made a commitment to climb out of the hole I’d dug for myself.

I did leave my abusive husband, and took off the weight, however in recent months I’ve fallen back into some of those old behaviors. I gained back 50 lbs, and was beginning to have a whole host of health problems as a result.

Then I found something that really works for me, and my busy schedule.

At my lowest point in a number of years, I was invited to join a 3 Day Sugar Detox group on Facebook by a friend of mine, and it was a game changer.

I suddenly realized what I had been missing…a support network!

I find that I get so busy with all the things that I need to do as a mom, that I rarely have time to go to the gym, or spend time with friends. And eventually I just get burned out, because I’m not taking care of me.

But now I have a support network, and work out just 30 minutes a day then replace one meal with a shake.

Beachbody also has something called “Beachbody On Demand” available on ANY device! So I literally just stream a workout from my phone or laptop and get going every morning.

And not only THAT but they also have a phone app that makes it so easy to interact with other people living a healthy lifestyle, keep track of calories and post those victories when meeting a fitness goal. I SERIOUSLY LOVE IT! I’m so glad I decided to join the Beachbody team.


It’s now been two months of working out just 30 minutes a day, and replacing one meal with a shake and I’ve taken off 10 lbs and 27′ inches!!!

I’d like to welcome you to join me on this journey of health and parenthood as I shed the rest of these unwanted pounds, learn some amazing recipes that will help me stay on track without losing any quality of life, and share my struggles and insights along the way. We are STRONGER together! So let’s DO THIS!!!

Toffee Bars

I am SUCH a foodie! Although fitness is extremely important to me, so is quality of life and self care. I LOVE to enjoy a well earned treat, after a week of consistent workouts, and Shakeology while keeping with my Portion Fix!

This delicious dessert taste a lot like pie, and would pair well with vanilla ice cream.

I always try to work hard, while not forgetting to love on myself with SWEET rewards.
